Wesley Buscher

Woodcraft Artistry

Wesley was born and raised on the Big Island and continues to live and work here. He learned his craft from his dad, Gene, and the similarity in their work and style is readily apparent. Like his dad, Wesley’s craftsmanship is excellent and he produces absolutely beautiful bowls and platters. Wesley also makes fantastic koa Hula hair pins and kitchen utensils.

Like his dad, Wesley works "green" and only works with wood harvested from stumps, downed trees and branches. Wesley's continued attention to smaller pieces - even as he works on larger bowls and platters - allows him to use parts of the wood often missed by other artists.
